The One 16 from One Water Toys is a 4.98 m open hull powered by a jet-ski. In France, Sealver is already developing this style of boat, in rigid and semi-rigid hulls. This Spanish project, led by Amor Jimenez Chito, combines modern design and functionality. Compatible with Sea-Doo and Yamaha as well as other brands, the boat plus jet measure less than 6 m, so can be piloted in Spain by a person with a "Licensa de Navegacion". Outside Spain, you'll need to check which license is required.
A transformation for a new boating experience
The One 16 is the result of a 100% Spanish collaboration between several experts in the nautical sector. Designed by Amor Jimenez Chito of Loveworks Design and conceived by Visma Naval Architects of Cadiz, this innovative boat lets you enjoy the excitement of jet skiing while offering the comfort of a boat that can accommodate up to six people. In the bow area, a large table, when lowered, transforms into a spacious sundeck. When the jet ski is removed, the area that houses the front of the jet ski transforms into a pool gliding gently into the sea. The anchor is located in the anchor locker at the bow, which has been designed to be passable for easy embarkation and disembarkation.
According to Amor Jimenez, CEO of One Water Toys, " The One 16 has been designed to meet the needs of jet ski users looking for a more relaxed experience with their loved ones ".
A design optimized for performance and user-friendliness
The One 16 stands out for its clean, modern lines, focused on deck functionality. Visibility for the pilot sitting on his jet-ski will have to be tested, however, with the rather imposing bulwarks. The prototype, built by KDKomposites in Malaga, optimizes weight distribution to ensure stability and performance. Manuel Viseras, CEO of Visma Naval Architects, explains: " We had to ensure the continuity of the hull design while maintaining optimal hydrodynamic flows ". The One 16 offers a cruising speed of 18-20 knots and a top speed of 30 knots with a 170 hp jet ski.
A customizable offer
The One 16 is priced from ?40,000 (without the jet), including standard equipment such as a Hertz or Fusion audio system and storage space for a portable refrigerator. Owners can customize their boat with a wide range of bright colors and additional options, such as a rigid bimini or audio system. The concept is aimed at both private individuals and jet ski rental companies.
Promising developments
One Water Toys is already planning future developments, including the integration of electric jet skis as soon as the recharging infrastructure in the Mediterranean is adequate. Amor Jimenez emphasizes: " We're keeping a close eye on the development of recharging infrastructures for electric vehicles at marinas ". A second One 16 unit is currently in production, using vacuum infusion methods to further enhance performance.
