The Worldcat brand, well known worldwide for its fishing catamarans, has just unveiled the 2025 edition of the 235 TE, a boat that targets fishermen with families.
The new Worldcat 235 TE is the tournament (TE) version of the 235 CC. The newcomer measures 23 feet and is primarily dedicated to fishing in bays, inland waters or close to the shore.
The 235 TE features a layout built around a center console, protected (as an option) by an attractive T-Top. The Worldcat also features two separate cockpits to fish with friends or family.
Naturally, the Worldcat takes advantage of its catamaran design to offer a greater space onboard (around 35% more than a traditional open hull). The slightly higher hull height than on the previous version allows for a deeper deck. This is not only safer, but also more comfortable when fishing. Both cockpits offer plenty of space.
Designed for fishing
The helm is pretty complete and well protected by the windshield and side windows. A leaning-post seat provides a comfortable driving position and features four rod holders on the back. There's also an Igloo cooler under the seat.
The 235 TE benefits from in-floor fish boxes and numerous lockers at the front, on the transom or in the floor. The 30-gallon livewell is housed in the center of the transom. A good location not to impede passage to the rear platform. A large swim ladder is also located here, between the two engines.
The boat features numerous interesting accessories, including lure box storage, rod racks on the side of the console and a rear shower for rinsing off.
Optional extras include a deluxe GEMLUX outrigger system with 18-foot folding hybrid poles.
Up to 300 hp
Comfort has not been forgotten : there are two rear seats, another one on the bow, and two folding bench seats on the forward sides. Another good point is that the inside of the console is large enough to accommodate a chemical toilet.
Regarding the technical aspect, this 2025 edition accepts up to 300 hp and has two 60-gallon gas tanks, enough to go fishing quite far.
