Renewal of the Merry Fisher range
Already underway for several years, the renewal of the Merry Fisher range continues with the 895 Series 2. This mid-range model has benefited from styling work to fit in with the new look of Jeanneau's engine series, but also from in-depth work with a new hull, optimized to limit fuel consumption at intermediate speeds.
The boat, available only as a twin-engine model, with two outboards producing a maximum of 250 hp, has a 2x300 L fuel tank.
A comfortable cockpit
Access to the Merry Fisher 895 Series 2 is via the aft cockpit, either via the bulwark door on the starboard side, or via the aft platform on the starboard side, secured by a gate.
The crew can sit around the table, with a generous aft bench seat with cup-holder armrests, plus an additional retractable bench seat on the port side. It will comfortably accommodate 4.
Front deck for relaxation
Gangways, reasonably wide for a boat of this size, with high railings, provide safe access to the foredeck.
The forward cushion on the anchor locker can be used to create a mini forward saloon for discussion.
For those who like to anchor at leisure, the wheelhouse roof racks is ideal for kayaks, paddles and surfboards.
A well-equipped interior
Access to the interior is via a beautiful bay window at the stern. To starboard, there's a small galley with sink, hob and fridge.
On the port side, a table, raised on a small platform to give a clear view of the outside, provides a sheltered, warm place to eat. The tilting backrest of the port-front bench seat makes it a perfect co-pilot's berth.
On starboard, the helm station offers comfortable seating and direct access to the catwalk via a sliding door.
As you descend, you'll find an attractive double cabin forward, lit by large hull portholes, as well as a porthole under the superstructure's forward step. On the starboard side, a bathroom, revised for Series 2, offers a shower and sanitary facilities. Finally, the mid-cabin, located under the cockpit, can easily accommodate 2 people.
