A first step in motor boating
RS Sailing has made a name for itself in the field of light sailing, with sporty, high-performance dinghies, such as the RS Aero or RS Feva. When the British shipyard decided to enter the field of powerboats under the name RS Electric Boats, it was not to make a semi-rigid like the others. The project is in line with the brand's DNA. The boat will have to respect the environment and serve its loyal clientele of light sailing enthusiasts. This is how the idea of the Pulse 63 was born, a semi-rigid boat of 6.3 meters long, with an electric motorization.

Multiple uses
As time goes by, the site imagines various uses. The very simple platform, with its small console, allows multiple possibilities of use. The Pulse 63 is now offered in a leisure or sport version for pleasure boating, in a coaching version for sailing schools and professional teams and in a professional version for ports, public agencies and maritime authorities. The large space of the front deck allows to imagine carrying either course buoys and their moorings or sunbathing cushions.

Lightweight construction and optimized hull
In coherence with the electric motorization and to offer a good autonomy, RS Electric Boats relies on its knowledge in composite to build a light boat. The hull of the RIB is therefore produced in polyester sandwich with a core of recycled PET, as is the deck. Hoods, console and other small parts are made of recycled carbon fiber. The bare hull weight is announced at 700 kilos.

The design of the hull is also optimized. Two very pronounced gull wings create tunnels at the rear of the boat. By enclosing the air, they provide lift and reduce the consumption of the RIB. Combined with the large step, they also provide good comfort when sailing, but also when stopped. A useful feature, especially in coaching.
The Pulse 63 responds with a sleek platform to a versatile program, all with the calm of electric.
