A Humphreys and Pininfarina collaboration
L' Elan Impression 43 with a length of 13.32 m overall, it has a wide hull to offer more space than the previous models. It also features a very low roof with side windows. The hull and sail plan are by Humphreys Yacht Design, while the design was conceived in cooperation with the Pininfarina studio. This duo had already signed the Elan E6 . The hull and sail plan are optimized for easy short-handed sailing.
Infusion construction
The boat will be built using the 3D Vail composite technology developed by Elan the deck will be constructed in the same way, using a vacuum infusion lamination process, with an outer layer of vinylester to prevent osmosis. The deck will be built in the same way. The Elan Impression 43 will have two rudders and will be offered in several appendage versions, from the fixed keel with a standard draft of 1.95 m, which can be reduced to 1.70 m as an option, to the twin keel version. The displacement is announced at 11,100 kg.
A cockpit for navigation and mooring
The cockpit is equipped with two composite steering wheels whose supports can accommodate 9-inch navigation screens. The stern is equipped with two lockers that serve as seating for the skipper, but also as storage for a grill and a refrigerator. As standard, the transom becomes a small bathing platform, which can be replaced by a large bathing platform. In the bow, the bench seats can accommodate up to 10 people around the modular cockpit table, which can be transformed into a sunbathing area as an option.
The deck can be enhanced with optional synthetic or real teak. Large flush deck panels are integrated into the roof in several places to provide light and ventilation. A self-tacking jib is installed as standard, but can also be replaced by a genoa among other options. The 46.68 m2 mainsail can also be replaced by a furling mainsail.
Two interior design options
The interior is constructed from rustic oak veneer and marine plywood. A solid oak finish is applied to the various furniture. The saloon can comfortably accommodate the crew around a central table flanked by two folding solid wood chairs, which can be stored in a dedicated space. It can also be easily converted into a double berth.
The long side kitchen features a three-burner stove with oven and a front-opening refrigerator in the L-shaped countertop. The long layout offers plenty of space, surface area and storage cabinets.
Owners can choose between a three or four cabin version. In both versions, a second bathroom is installed between the galley and the port side double cabin. In the first version, the main cabin located at the bow offers a central bed and a large bathroom with separate shower. In the 4-cabin version, the bow is separated in two to integrate a cabin with bunk beds.
