A new design
Sea Ray is expanding its premium SLX line with the new 260 offered in inboard sterndrive and outboard. Both models feature the brand's new design elements introduced on the Sundancer 370 HB in 2021, including an S-shaped deck edge, a central passageway, an extended bow and the Sea Ray logo integrated into the hull.
Outboard or inboard motorization
These first models were designed entirely by a female team and offer a new level of comfort on board and at sea, particularly in response to customer demand. The 7.75-meter-long SLX 260 is equipped with a sterndrive and a 350-hp 6.2L Mercruiser engine. According to the shipyard, this configuration gives it a cruising speed of approximately 23.5 knots at 3,500 rpm, or a range of about 172 miles with a fuel tank of 284 L. For the outboard version, it is a Mercury Verado of 300 hp. Both models are equipped with the modern digital control system, Throttle & Shift (DTS).
Coastal navigation or inland navigation, the SLX 260 is above all comfortable for day trips. It can accommodate up to 15 people on board.
More comfort on board
The seats have evolved to offer better ergonomics and more comfort. The deep seats allow for better control of the boat's movements. The L-shaped cockpit bench seat allows for table seating while a flexible cooler (up to 2 coolers can be installed) houses cool food under the seat and is accessible from a hatch on the bottom or top. The bow, which can be closed with a door, is equipped with a U-shaped bench seat with backrests facing the sea and folding armrests. The comfort pack allows to install a teak table and a cushion to transform the area into a sunbathing area.
At the rear, the sunbathing area is above a bathing platform with a bathing ladder. The sunbathing area is topped by a large, practical storage box, which has been increased by 0.67 m3 compared to previous models. The storage space includes an integrated refrigerator and a storage box for inflatable toys. The water ski compartment in the cockpit floor has also been enlarged.
A touch-sensitive and intelligent dashboard
The cockpit is protected by a large windscreen with a central opening. The double console separated by a central passageway houses a storage area on the port side that can optionally be transformed into a toilet with sink. The starboard block is reserved for the steering station. The instrument panel is equipped with two 9-inch Dual Digital Dash Simrad digital displays with Mercury Marine Vessel View for automated control and monitoring, active trim and CZone digital switching. The Entertainment package allows for the addition of an induction charging module. Optional flaps can be installed.
A new wake tower
The SLX 260 is equipped with the new Power Tower wake tower with an optional bimini top. The bimini top can be equipped with an extendable shade sail and a sunshade. It can be raised and lowered at the touch of a button. It can also be equipped with Fusion speakers (included in the Premier Audio Package of the Entertainment Package) and LED lighting with color change and Sea Ray logo projection (Lightning Package).
