An all-terrain sailboat
Ballasted aluminum dinghy on Joubert plan, built by the Meta shipyard, Arthur, our DALU 47 is a sailboat cut for the journey: 14,60 meters long, 2 tons of diesel, 600 liters of water, 1,50m of draft with a strong sampling of the hull, it is an all-terrain sailboat.

The habitability of the sailboat
The DALU 47 offers 10 to 12 berths divided into 3 cabins, a bunk bed in the gangway and a single berth. A large saloon easily accommodates 8 people. The chart table, a sofa with library and a galley in the passageway complete the layout of the central part of the boat for a great conviviality. Finally, the bathroom is centrally located for more comfort while sailing!

A sailboat with a great autonomy
For the expedition to the north, the yacht has been equipped with a diesel stove and reinforced insulation. The forepeak and the numerous crew compartments allow for the storage of several months of food, spare equipment and the tools necessary for emergency repairs such as a TIG welding machine.

Concerning autonomy and comfort, Arthur has 8 kwh of batteries and 1440 watts of solar panels which allows to run a washing machine, a vacuum cleaner or an induction cooker with a 3000 watts converter without any problem. When the boat is also a family home, it is appreciable! Two 13 kg gas bottles complete the picture.

The Dalu 47 is a marine sailboat
On the sailing side, Arthur has a new 65 m² genoa on electric furler, a 50 m² mainsail, a staysail and a storm jib. In spite of its 18 tons, it reaches 7 to 8 knots as soon as the wind comes in a little.
Its wide side decks, handrails inside and out and well-sized winches - Lewmar 62 for the genoa - all contribute to making the boat particularly safe. A cover over the cockpit protects the forward and aft companionways and the helm station from the rain, even while sailing.

The on-board electronics include an autopilot (pypilot), depth sounder, anemometer, AIS transceiver, radar, fixed and portable VHF, EPIRB, sound system and projector. For the computer, an on-board computer, two laptops, a multimedia server and a tablet allow parents and children to work while sailing.
