A modern runabout inspired by the motorboat
Rand Boat is launching a new mid-range model, the Rand Spirit 25, with a length of 7.5 meters. It is not an open hull like most of the range, but a modern runabout with a decked foredeck, a design quite similar to the largest model in the Spirit range, the Leisure 28 . The two models differ, however, not only in their layout, but also in the windshield. In the large model, it completely envelops the cockpit, while on the Spirit 25, it is just a one-piece central windshield that emphasizes the motorboat style desired by the shipyard.
A multiple program and a modular deck plan
This elegant sport-boat with a modern design can accommodate up to 6 people on board. Its simple but comfortable deck plan is modular to offer a range of activities to its owners: speed, relaxation, swimming, meals, etc. Rand Boat's business is above all to create boats to spend a relaxing day at sea and at anchor. Moreover, its reduced draught of 35 cm answers perfectly to this program.
The aft cockpit of the boat is occupied by a two-piece sundeck, whose backrest unfolds to modulate the space. The aft section offers three places for sunbathing and the forward section is a bench seat facing a dining table. The backrest of the pilot seat swivels to create a facing seating area for up to 6 people for outdoor dining.
The starboard cockpit has a new dashboard inspired by Italian sports cars and a double bench seat. There is also access below deck to a large storage area with a refrigerator.
Electric or thermal propulsion
The Spirit 25 has a hydrodynamic hull and weighs a rather light 1250 kg. The shipyard assures a gain in consumption of 30 to 60% compared to a boat of the same size, but also a very good marine behavior associated with a stable navigation. Data that will have to be verified during a test.
Rand Boat is committed to electric propulsion for its boats. Thus, the Spirit 25 can be fitted with an inboard electric motor from 105 to 180 kW associated with batteries from 47 to 86 kWh. Developed in-house by the manufacturer, this is the first electric motor on the market with sterndrive.
The Rand Spirit 25 is nevertheless available in thermal, outboard or inboard versions. In the first configuration, it is a Mercury engine of 200 or 250 hp. In the sterndrive version, the power is between 250 and 300 hp.
Regardless of the propulsion chosen, Rand Boat announces a speed of over 40 knots.
