Seol 27, a livable runabout to sail with elegance

17 years after the launch of the Seol, a retro-looking motorboat, the Franck Roy shipyard is launching the Seol 26, an elegant runabout with a neo-classical style and a cabin.

A new engine model for Franck Roy

In the catalog of the shipyard Franck Roy, the Seol was the only motor boat a 5.50 m motorboat with neo-classical lines. 17 years later, the shipyard launched a new model, of 7.90 m, the Seol 27, a runabout "more neo than classic" says Romain Dana, Technical Director of the site, built in epoxy CP. If the architect remains the same - Gildas Plessis - and the design quite similar, the lines are indeed more modern and refined.

A cabin to prolong the pleasure

The main difference is the addition of a cabin with a double bed, a bathroom and a storage area to extend the stay on board. However, the shipyard will be able to adapt to the owners' requests to personalize the space.

A total of 6 people will be able to board the Seol 27, divided between the cockpit and the U-shaped rear bench seat. The boat has a nice windshield with a reverse side as well as a large teak deck (which can be replaced by other woods) with glass deck panels to bring light to the interior.

Outboard or inboard version

The Seol 27 is offered in outboard (250 hp) or inboard (195 to 250 hp) versions with two slightly different closed transoms. In the second version, the bathing platform will completely cover the propellers to facilitate and secure the access to the sea. In the outboard version, the engine will be framed by beautiful swim skirts. The maximum speed of the boat is estimated between 25 and 30 knots.

High-end finishes and customization

As with all the shipyard's models, there are numerous varnished mahogany finishes, high-end stainless steel fittings and a high-gloss hull paint that can be customized, as can the color of the upholstery.

"The powerboat market works well in this size. The Seol 27 is a first test, which will allow us to launch a range depending on its reception. The style and design are there, we just need a customer to launch the construction of the first unit", concludes Romain Dana.

The price will be defined according to the needs of the customer, and in particular according to the chosen motorization.
