"Embarked", 32 days of crazy Ultim racing on Actual Leader

Ronan Gladu, mediaman aboard the Ultim Actual Leader with Yves le Blévec and Alex Pella, tells us his story and that of these extraordinary sailors, on the Brest Atlantic, a loop of 14?000 miles at the start and finish in Brest.

On 5th November 2019, four Ultim trimarans set off on a loop of 14?000 miles in the Atlantic Ocean, from the northern winter to the southern summer. In a crew of two, the sailors were accompanied by a mediaman, whose role - in addition to bringing the event to life from the inside - was strictly limited to the preparation of meals and the ménage?; navigation was to be carried out solely by the skippers.

Ronan, a simple amateur, makes us live in this 40-minute film this incredible adventure, reserved for the greatest sailors in the world that he shared with Yves le Blévec and Alex Pella. On a daily basis, he was able to film the sailors and share with us their sailing conditions - good or bad (or even scary) on these incredible flying machines that are the Ultim trimarans.

Extreme fatigue, intense stress, uncertainty, exhaustion, but always good humour and joie de vivre are the emotions that have punctuated life on board for more than 30 days.

On Actual Leader, you can't stop jamais?! Weather routing, sail changes, tactics, do-it-yourself... Dive into the heart of a "scary" race, as you may never have done before to discover this strange life, both rough and sensational, that these men of the sea have chosen to live.
