Merry Fisher 695 Series 2, a small, family-friendly and portable cruise ship

The Merry Fisher 695 is available in two models, a weekend cruising version and a fishing version (Marlin). For 2019, the Vendée manufacturer has decided to update these two models.

A major renewal challenge

The Merry Fisher 695 Series 1 was launched in September 2014 and was a real success. More than 1400 units have been sold so far and 2 boats are built every day. To renew its flagship model and maintain its leadership in this market segment, Jeanneau decided to launch the Series 2 in September 2019.

"This is a key renewal for Jeanneau because it represents a large market" explains Merry de la Poëze, Director of Motor Boating Products.

A more compact Merry Fisher 795

The Merry Fisher 695 Series 2 retains the evolutionary V-shaped hull of its ancestor, which provided stability and performance, but benefits from a new deck layout and interior design.

This new model has the same layout as its big sister, the Merry Fisher 795 . "We found tricks to enlarge the wheelhouse and cockpit without touching the size of the boat, explains Vincent Piel, Head of Range - Motor Boat Products.

With an overall length of 7.45 m and a width of less than 2.55 m, the Merry Fisher 695 Series 2 is transportable, unlike the 795. Jeanneau signs here a small family cruise ship, but transportable.

"We managed to recreate a Merry Fisher 795, but in a much more compact and therefore transportable way, adds Vincent Piel.

Enlarged cockpit and wheelhouse

The enlarged cockpit offers a sliding rear bench seat that saves 30 cm of space when moving forward and backward. By sliding it forward, you can fully raise the engine. Square meal or sunbathing, the space is modular according to your desires.

The wheelhouse is bright and adopts the new generation of large glazing for a bright interior. To port, the space is occupied by a facing saloon whose front seat also converts into a co-pilot bench thanks to the removable backrest.

There is a large storage space under this co-pilot bench, which can accommodate all the cruise equipment on board.

On the starboard side, the cockpit is equipped with a new, more spacious dashboard, designed to accommodate a screen up to 12 inches. Behind, a kitchen can optionally accommodate a fixed gas stove as on the 795. As an option, for more comfort, it is possible to opt for a bow thruster.

With regard to the engine, the yard has chosen to "dose" the offer by offering a single outboard engine from 115 to 175 horsepower, in order to offer controlled acquisition and maintenance costs and reasonable fuel consumption.
