Furniture and floors are screwed in

Just like the construction of the hull, the quality of the construction of the facilities is also of high quality. The veneers are made of real wood sheet (oak, or teak as an option) and all the joinery supports are screwed instead of just glued or nailed. The floors are screwed onto an aluminium frame. No squeaking is to be feared and this provides an increased feeling of security.
A spacious and friendly saloon
The volume of the boat is comparable to the Cruising version, 38 Xc, which allows you to be comfortable without missing storage space. The slightly off-centre saloon to starboard with an L-shaped bench seat gives a cosy atmosphere as much as it facilitates forward movement and there is room for a television on the bulkhead. The folding table has a retractable bar and allows you to invite many guests or crews you have beaten in a regatta.

To do this, the kitchen, which is the same as the one in 43, has many shelves and drawers and a generous worktop in white Corian or black quartz. A second front refrigerator can be installed as an option.

2 or 3 cabins

The version tested in two cabins has a very large bathroom with separate shower and a wax closet. In the three-cabin version, the half-edged chart table gives way to a small secretary at the end of the bench, which may be sufficient if you are a tablet sailor. In this 3 cabin version, there is a possibility to have, at the rear, twin berths offset in height with undoubtedly large storage spaces underneath.

The height under the beam is comfortable everywhere on the boat with more than 1.90 m. The forward cabin is very spacious and bright with two deck hatches and beautiful wardrobes on each side. The central bed is wide at the head, due to the presence of a forward sail compartment, but the possibility of a bathroom in this forward cabin is thus ruled out.

Not really thought to sleep in navigation

The absence of an optional Breton bed or an antiroll canvas device condemns this sleeping position when sailing, which may seem paradoxical for a cruising race. The bathroom basin could be covered with Corian to prevent premature wear and tear. These are the only criticisms that can be made of this layout, because the quality of the materials used for the linings and upholstery further reinforces a feeling of comfort and well-being that has always been the norm at X-Yachts, as it has been at other yards
