The XR 41 stands out for its flexible approach to competition. Unlike one-design classes, this yacht can evolve continuously, with annual upgrades offered to all owners. Modifications can be carried out directly at the boatyard, ensuring continuous optimization of performance. Aside from the measurement aspects, the XR 41 will be inherently fast and competitive in a variety of regatta formats.
The XR 41 is designed for both racing and sport cruising.
A crucial aspect of the XR 41 is the long-term preservation of its value, incorporating modular design elements. Certain fittings can be removed for racing and reinstalled for cruising, allowing quick and efficient adaptation to the needs of boaters. The XR 41 will be available in two versions: Race and Sport, each meeting specific requirements in terms of performance and comfort.
Collaboration with external experts
For this ambitious project, X-Yachts reinforced its in-house team with renowned external specialists. " We wanted to be absolutely sure that we were using the best possible knowledge, especially for ORC and IRC optimization "explains Krĉn Brinck Nielsen, CEO of X-Yachts. Experts such as Casper Nielsen from C-Performance and Max Gurgel from Vmax Yachting contributed their expertise in gauge optimization, while Surge Projects and Javier Jaudenes contributed to deck and interior design. Professional sailors such as Bouwe Bekking and Jesper Radich also shared their practical experience.
Official launch of the XR 41 at Boot Düsseldorf in January 2025
The official launch of the XR 41 is scheduled for January 2025, at the Boot Düsseldorf boat show. With this model, X-Yachts hopes to reposition itself at the forefront of innovation in cruising racing yachts.
