X-Yachts has launched a new nautical challenge: the XR 41 Racing Project. The aim of this initiative is to bring together experienced sailors around a common goal: to shine in the biggest international regattas.
An international crew led by an experienced skipper
The XR 41 Racing Project will bring together Danish and international sailors, under the direction of professional skipper Jesper Radich. This mix of amateur and professional talent will form a 15-member team, 10 of whom will be selected for each competition. This semi-professional team will focus on intensive training, honing individual skills while reinforcing teamwork.

Training sessions in strategic locations
The training program will take place in three emblematic locations: Haderslev, Øresund and Kiel. The aim of these training sessions will be to improve the crew's skills, both in mastering the boat and in managing different sailing conditions. At the same time, the team will take part in high-level competitions, such as the Kieler Woche 2025, to prepare for the ORC World Championship scheduled for the same year.
A clear ambition for a world podium
The XR 41 Racing Team project has a clear goal: to reach the podium at the ORC World Championship 2025, to be held in Tallinn. Jesper Radich's meticulous preparation and experience will be major assets in achieving this goal. The 2025 season will be crucial for fine-tuning the team and putting in place a winning strategy for this prestigious regatta.
First selection stage at Skovshoved
The first recruitment event will take place in Skovshoved, Denmark, on October 9, 2024. This event will mark the start of a series of selections aimed at building the team. X-Yachts is keen to offer talented sailors the opportunity to join this major project, drawing on a mix of skills and experience. The XR 41 is scheduled to be presented worldwide in Dusseldorf in January 2025.
