The largest model ever built
During the Cannes Yachting Festival in September 2019, the Italian shipyard Evo Yachts will launch its largest model ever designed, the Evo R6. This 18 m long walkaround, designed by Valerio Rivellini, preserves the extensible bulwarks that made the site famous. This is a big leap forward for the manufacturer, whose previous 43 was 13 m long.
For the moment no image has been filtered, but the Neapolitan shipyard that has made its reputation thanks to its "convertible" boats and their attractive design announces a boat with clean lines with a lot of space and flexibility.
The Evo R6 should also take up the look of its predecessors, with a contemporary design and a sporty silhouette. Vertical bow, high bulwarks, elegant finishes and spacious interior are the main features of this new model.
If the exteriors are typical of those of a walk-around with many living spaces, the interiors should be worthy of a cabin cruiser with comfortable and refined spaces.

A deployable bathing platform
Outside, the deck is entirely covered with teak. There are four distinct areas for specific uses. At the rear is the "Transformer", a modular platform integrated into the bathing platform that can be used to board/disembark either as a bathing ladder or as a diving platform. It can also be used to launch and remove water from tenders and other jet skis. A tender garage is hidden in the boat, with two chests for liferafts, water toys or seabobs.
A comfortable Beach Lounge with expandable walls
The Beach Lounge is the central part of the boat with extendable side walls that will almost double the area available in the cockpit. We circulate all around a central bath. At the touch of a digital button, the "XTension" side walls open in a matter of seconds, increasing the available space by 40%. While this innovation is a feature of all Evo Yachts models, the yard announces that it will be unique on the R6 since on an 18 m long boat, the maximum width with the side wall deployed is close to that of a catamaran.

A comfortable deck saloon
Under the hardtop, at the front, is the living room area with a large L-shaped sofa, a large lounge chair and a retractable LCD TV. The folders can be moved horizontally so that all guests, front and rear, can participate in the conversation, including the driver.
The open galley on deck has a table for eight people, while the rotation of one of the backs creates a large C-shaped sofa around the table, which can be opened and enlarged if necessary. The double helm station is light, almost suspended. Finally, the front area houses two sofas facing each other.
Two or three cabins version
Access to the interior is via backlit steel stairs with suspended plexiglass steps. The layout can be customized and offers a dining area, a kitchen, a VIP cabin at the front and an owner's cabin at the rear. A layout with three cabins and two bathrooms is also available. Like any real yacht, the R6 offers totally independent accommodation to a crew.
IPS propulsion
The choice of Volvo Penta's IPS propulsion system not only reduces the size of the engine hold, but also offers the owner the maximum in terms of performance, reliability, soundproofing, ease of use, reduced fuel consumption and safe navigation.
Volvo Penta's two IPS transmissions are either 625 hp (800 IPS) or 725 hp (IPS 950) and offer, with maximum power, a maximum speed of 36 knots and 28 knots in cruise.
