The French Sailing Federation has just revealed the nominees for the 2018 Sailor of the Year award. There are 8 sailors (including a duo) competing for the prestigious award, but only one will be awarded at the Paris Boat Show. Vote now for your favourite on the FFVoile website.

For 18 years, the French Sailing Federation has been honouring the sailors - men and women - who have marked the year with the prestigious title of Sailor of the Year. In 2018, there are 8 of them (9 in total since a duo makes up the panel) - and only one femme?! - to compete for the award, presented at the Nautic de Paris, on Saturday, December 8 at 7 p.m. on the Stage, in the heart of Hall 1. The winners will be chosen by a professional jury and by public vote, which opens on Tuesday, November 20 at 12 noon and closes on December 6 at midnight. The public vote counts for 2 votes in the final jury of the Sailor of the Year.

Thus, the jury, composed of a president, 5 journalists, 5 representatives of sports institutions, 5 athletes, and the two public votes will choose the sailor of the year. So who will succeed Thomas Coville, sailor of the year 2017 and Hippolyte Machetti & Sidoine Dantes, best prospects 2017??
