Couach 1100, a sporty dayboat for access to the range

The Couach 1100

The Arcachon shipyard Couach presented in Cannes a small 11 m dayboat - the 1100 - the first model in the under 20 m range and a return to the roots for the regular luxury yacht sailor. Designed for day trips, the 1100 nevertheless has a beautiful cabin with a double bed and all the necessary equipment for a weekend on board.

It had been about ten years since Couach had released a model less than 10 m long ( NDRL: The 1100 is 11 m long, but the core market of Couach remains the units over 20 m) but it was to meet a customer's request that the 1100 was born "It's also the first outboard in a long time." explains Camille Pinel, Marketing Communication Manager & Business Assistant.

Designed to sail over the Arcachon basin, and with a view to a shallow draft, this dayboat receives 2x350 HP outboard propulsion. With 8 people on board, it reaches a top speed of 44 knots, its V-shaped hull borrowed from the military branch (NDRL: Couach produces professional boats through its subsidiary Placoa) ensures a smooth passage through the soft sea. "The 1100 is a sporty and modern boat with a Couach hull taken from the small units we used to produce before and used by our defense department" camille Pinel explains.

Access to the boat is easy via the two beautiful bathing platforms that frame the double outboard. At the rear, the 1100 receives a sunbathing area, which forms a common backrest with the saloon bench. This raised section provides a well-protected cockpit with a second bench facing each other. A removable table (not marine) takes place between these two areas to enjoy a meal or an aperitif in the open air (at anchor since it is only placed on the ground and not fixed).

The central cockpit has two comfortable and enveloping seats with a lift seat for standing up. It is protected by a large wrap-around windshield and a T-Top. The dashboard is spacious and can accommodate a touch screen.

At the front, a very large sunbathing area is accessible via two steps and is well embedded between the console and the bulwarks. Under the cushions, you can access a large trunk.

On the starboard side, in the console, a smart compartment mounted on jacks houses a sink with additional space for a removable stove, for example. A fridge installed under the cockpit bench completes all the kitchen equipment.

There are many handrails on the wide gunwales, which run from the aft end of the cockpit to the bow, making it easy to move around the boat "There are no handrails on the front, both for design and practicality reasons" adds Camille Pinel.

In the console, there is a spacious cabin with a double bed, bright and with a beautiful height under the headlights. A bathroom completes all the facilities and storage space "We're no longer in the night on board or the nap" explains Camille Pinel.

The 1100 is customizable according to the needs of its owner.
