Jubilee Fife at Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez 2018

The 20th edition of Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez will take place from 29 September to 7 October 2018. This meeting of exceptional yachts takes place every year in autumn. This mix of classic yachts and ultra-modern boats forms a very special alchemy to this event where the beauty of sailing takes precedence over performance.

For the 2018 edition, Rolex brings together the plans of the Fife family for a special jubilee. 130 years ago, the first sailboat to leave the site was born with a dragon's head carved on the bow (this sailboat was called Dragon). Since the Fife plans have continued this tradition and most proudly display this trademark.

100 Fife are still sailing!

Among the 800 sailboats designed and built by the Fife dynasty - they were 3 architects to succeed each other from father to son still bearing the same first name: William - only a hundred still sail today. On the occasion of this gathering in Saint-Tropez, 20 will be gathered in the small port of the French Riviera.

It is funny that the smallest and tallest will meet on this occasion: Ellad, from a Marseilles owner measures 10.47 m when Cambria proudly displays its 40 m..

Regattas to follow from the dike

The Fife class leaves separately after the entire sequence of departures of the classic yachts, the first of which takes place every day around 11 am in front of the Portalet tower in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez.

The Rolex Jubilee Fife Trophy regattas have the same agenda as the classic yachts: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, Thursday being reserved for the challenges of the day Dick Jayson/Jean Laurain.
