Legallais (199) wins the CIC Normandy Channel Race
At the end of an extremely close race and a final night of battling against the intense current, it was Legallais (199) who finally won the 15th place e edition of the CIC Normandy Channel Race. Fabien Delahaye and Benjamin Schwartz crossed the finish line this Friday, September 20 at 10 hours 27 minutes 28 seconds after 4 days 21 hours 17 minutes and 28 seconds of racing. They beat Project Rescue Ocean (162) by 1 hour and 16 minutes. Axel Trehin and Erwan Le Mené take the silver medal in this race of many twists and turns. Italian duo Alberto Bona and Alberto Riva aboard IBSA (186) completed the final podium step, finishing third in Ouistreham.
America's Cup: Italians and English in the final

Défi Azimut, victory for Charlie Dalin
With a comfortable lead over his direct pursuers (1h 42min over Sam Goodchild), the skipper of MACIF Santé Prévoyance won the 48 heures Azimut, the final IMOCA race before the Vendée Globe, at 9h 14mn and 32s on Saturday September 14th. Jérémie Beyou takes 3rd place on the podium. The final runs saw the same trio, still led by Charlie Dalin, but this time followed by Jérémie Beyou and Thomas Ruyant.

Romain Attanasio dismasted
While racing in the Défi Azimut, the IMOCA Fortinet - Best Western dismasted on September 13. The sailor was able to count on the support of his competitors, notably Maxime Sorel, who sold him his spare mast. The clock is ticking for the start of the Vendée Globe on November 10.
