When Tribord, Decathlon's sailing brand, imagines a top-of-the-range jacket, it starts by setting the price. The Ocean 900 watch jacket must cost less than 200 ?! It is now available at 199.90 ? in store.

However, this model does not blush in the face of the competition since the jacket is built on a 3-layer waterproof and breathable membrane. It has a high, well-protected collar and a comfortable hood. On the pocket side, there are hand-warmed pockets on the chest and "cargo" pockets with gussets.

To develop this model, the Tribord laboratory ( installed in Hendaye which we had the chance to visit ) relied on its favorite navigator Tanguy de Lamotte and a panel of testers recruited via the co-navigation site Vogueavecmoi. Nolwenn Cazé and Ian Lipinski, competitors of the Mini 2017, were also present. This development phase lasted 2 years and no less than 50 people worked on this project to make this project a success.

Among the many details, we will note improvements on the cut or on the height of the neck which gains 5 cm. The design of the hood with a simplified tightening with just 2 cords or the rubber pulls that make it easier to hold for opening the pockets.

But the most interesting part of this jacket is the wrist tightening system where a single movement allows you to tighten both the sleeve around the wrist and the outer sleeve. Really efficient and thus ensures a perfect waterproofness.

The Ocean 900 is available in a watch jacket (open at the front) for ?199.90 (in red and black) which can be combined with the overalls (?199.90 only in black) but also as a vest (?169.90 in red, black or yellow).
