The Decathlon sailing brand, Tribord will now offer foils for wing foil. The result of a partnership with Taaroa to democratize the flight.

Tribord-Taaroa foils

Tribord, the Decathlon sailing brand, and Taaroa, an expert in foil design, have announced the signing of a technical partnership. This will allow the development of a range of accessible and scalable foils, which is expected to be released in spring 2023.

As usual, Decathlon has chosen to rely on experts already established to imagine its new product related to the sea, as the company has done with many skippers like Yannick Bestaven or the SNSM. Taaroa has 10 years of experience in the design, development and manufacture of foils.

Foils for all levels

Decathlon remains on its niche of democratization of the sport, thanks to equipment that is economically accessible and in terms of use. However, Tribord is targeting both beginners in Wing Foil and experienced practitioners. Benjamin Tiller, the person in charge of the development of the range at Taaroa explains: "This foil will be fully modular and compatible with the Taaroa range to allow you to upgrade and complete your quiver with 2 ranges Switch -freestyle, freeride perf- and Sword - Race and Speed, and all the former Taaroa foils on the market."

The 3 multipurpose foils will be repairable and will be suitable for different sizes of riders.

A complete wing offer

With the arrival of Tribord foils, Decathlon is able to provide all the necessary equipment for wing foil enthusiasts, with 3 sizes of rigid boards of 85L, 100L and 120L, as well as 3 sizes of wings of 4, 5 and 6 m2.
