Bavaria Nautitech 47 Power, the right compromise between performance and cruising

The Nautitech 47 Power is the first motor catamaran from the German shipyard Bavaria, which benefits from the know-how of the Nautitech rock-fort yard (acquired in 2014). Adapted from the Nautitech 46 (sailing catamaran), this 14.09 m multihull has all the necessary equipment to comfortably enjoy a sun cruise, but also sufficient power to reach more than 20 knots

Bavaria Catamarans launches its first motor catamaran, the Bavaria Nautitech 47 Power designed by Marc Lombard. It is an adaptation of the Nautitech 46, a sail model. However, the hull has been completely redesigned and structurally modified to accommodate an engine. We find a spacious flybridge (protected by a bimini or hard-top) adapted from the world of motoryachts, with a large sunbathing area at the front, behind the windscreen and through which we can access from the front cockpit thanks to a few steps on the roof. A rather clever arrangement! The trampoline at the front has been reinforced to accommodate a cockpit lounge.

"The Nautitech 47 Power takes up the codes of superyachts by offering distinct zones and very easy traffic on board the boat. As for the finishes, the 47 Power incorporates all the improvements made to the latest Nautitech vintages explains François Renault, Sales Manager France. The catamaran benefits from Nautitech's infusion construction technique (built in Rochefort) and retains Bavaria's know-how for fitting out (assembled at Bavaria in Germany). However, we regret the quality of some finishes, which are inferior to those found in the rest of the Bavaria monohull range.

Cabin

With the Nautitech 47 Power, Bavaria has made compromises between performance and cruising "We have enriched the perceived quality of the boat by increasing the presence of linings, for example. This boat must please the whole family, the captain and the rest of the crew." françois Renault explains.

Nevertheless, the 14.09 m multihull remains a fast boat: 18 knots with 2x225 CH D4 or 22 knots with 2x300 CH (optional). A boat designed to sail long distances at low speed (1,000 miles at 8.5 knots or 300 miles at 15 knots). At the rear, the hydraulic platform is optional and provides good access to the sea or serves as a storage space for a tender (Williams Minijet 280), or as a surface for tanning, for example by connecting the two hulls.

Cockpit

On the Nautitech 47 Power, the emphasis is clearly on the exterior with a large, spacious and well protected cockpit at the stern, a flybridge with a lounge at the stern and helm station or a large forward cockpit with two lounges separated by the central chain rail.

Inside, the space is quite well arranged and very bright, with a saloon to starboard (which acts as an additional sleeping area) and a galley and chart table to port on the main deck. A space that is not necessarily very large, but completely open to the outside and that invites you to enjoy the outside as much as possible. The starboard hull has two cabins and a bathroom in the centre with a shared shower. The port hull houses the large owner's cabin at the stern and a large bathroom at the bow.

This prototype version presented at the Boot Düsseldorf for the first time will undergo changes. Indeed, as François Renault explains to us, the final version will be presented at the International Multihull Show in La Grande-Motte "We will add a cockpit cockpit cockpit cockpit cockpit, and improve the Fly's equipment performance." says the sales manager.
