A 75-foot monohull

The news is therefore confirmed, the next edition of the America's Cup will go well on monohulls . And more precisely on AC75s, fast and powerful monohulls, whose class rule will be unveiled on March 31, 2018. Measurement details will be unveiled to competitors at the end of November 2017.

This 22.80 m long monohull will welcome on board 10 to 12 crew members. The format of the regattas will not change and will be match racing (one against one). Each competitor will be able to build two units, which must be in their own country. The first boat must not be launched before 31 March 2019, and the second from 1 February 2020.

Competitors will only be allowed to sail with one boat, except the Defender, during the Challenger Series periods.

A series of preliminary international regattas will be launched in 2019 and 2020, including a Christmas regatta in 2020.

3 team members of the nationality of the country represented
