An Ultim foiling monohull

Announced discreetly in January 2024, it was just as discreetly that the head of Ferrari unveiled the outline of the future monohull to carry the Italian manufacturer's colors. Helmed by Giovanni Soldini, the yacht will be inspired by the AC 75s, the Cup's foilers. In this case, however, the boat will be designed for offshore sailing.
This 100-foot monohull, the same length as an Ultim trimaran, is due to be launched in early 2026.
A bridge between sailing and Formula 1
Ferrari, through its experience in Formula 1, possesses a gigantic baggage in engineering and data exploitation. No doubt the Scuderia's knowledge will breathe new life into the design of this monocoque, which is billed as revolutionary.

During the last America's Cup, teams such as Mercedes AMG and Red Bull Racing collaborated with challengers Ineos Britannia and Alinghi. While these two collaborations did not result in victory, they did create synergies between the various design offices, which will undoubtedly benefit future editions.
Italian collaboration
Born in 1966, Giovanni Soldini has extensive experience of ocean racing, both single-handed and crewed. He has taken part in several round-the-world races, won the Transat Québec-Saint-Malo, two editions of the Ostar, and has been sailing for over three decades. At the helm of the "Maserati Multi 70" trimaran, in 2018 he set the reference time for the Hong Kong-London route in 47 days, 42 minutes and 12 seconds. He has also held the record for crossing the English Channel since 2021, and has won numerous offshore races.

For his part, John Elkann, grandson of the Agnelli dynasty, has always gravitated to the microcosm of Italian sailing. The Agnelli family has long supported ocean-racing teams, and also owned the Stealth monohull, a 28-meter plan Fers that made several attempts to break the Atlantic record.
