Cannes Yachting Festival 2017: the new motor boats for a day in the sun

The new day cruisers to discover at the Cannes Yachting Festival

The Cannes Yachting Festival opens its doors this Tuesday, September 12, 2017 with a host of new motor boats... Here is a selection of day cruisers and open hulls to discover as a world premiere.

Leader 7.5 BR

This new 7.5-meter model adopts the same hull as the Leader 7.5 and is characterized by a sporty silhouette. The largest model in the range is also more spacious, but has the same facilities, namely a forward and an aft cockpit. However, at the rear, there is a cockpit kitchen and a toilet in the port side console.

Jeanneau will also present in Cannes the Leader 9.0 WA This boat revisits the concept of the 8.5 WA, a sporty and family boat whose design is inspired by the 10.5 WA. On the outside, there is a 2-seater cockpit, a galley and storage space, as well as a sunbathing area at the front. Inside, there is a large double berth, a convertible living room, a bathroom with separate shower and a small kitchenette.

Heyday WT-1 SC

The WT-1 SC is a 19'6" foot wakesurfing boat with a hull specially designed for water sports. With ballasts to create its own wave, it will seduce the demanding riders. It is powered by a 5.7L Challenger Crusader V8 inboard engine with 350 HP. The particularity of this model is its console deported to starboard to gain more space on board (unlike the central console version of the WT-1).

Invictus 200 HX

The 200 HX is a sporty crossover with a slightly fishing design. This 6.1 m open is the first model of this new HX range, a range of "robust", adventurous boats. With its maximum engine of 150 HP and its V-deep hull (inherited from the open fishing boats) with good marine qualities - even in rough sea conditions - the 200 HX will reach a cruising speed of 20 knots and a maximum speed of 36 knots.

Sea Ray 210 SPX HB

Sea Ray will introduce the outboard version of the 210 SPX following the success of the 190 SPX HB. This second outboard model in the SPX lineup retains the bowrider layout with a forward cockpit featuring a U-shaped bench seat and an aft cockpit with ample seating.

Sea Ray will also present an outboard version of the 290 SDX (8.9 m), the largest model in the SDX range, with the same typical bowrider features, but with optimized comfort.
