Aqa 35, an open star with a "Made In Italy" style

The Aqa 35, to be discovered at the Yachting Festival de Cannes 2017

The Italian shipyard Aqa, created in 2015 and based in Rome, specialising in open boats, will present the Aqa 35 at the Cannes Yachting Festival. This elegant boat "Made in Italy" measures 12.15 m and is characterized by many spaces dedicated to idleness, including its very large rear sunbathing area.

The Aqa (Open Yacht) shipyard in Rome, Italy was founded in 2015 with the launch of the first model, the Aqa 35, an 11 m tender. Two years later, the boat will be presented at the Cannes Yachting Festival (12 to 19 September 2017) in a modernised and improved version. With a large open cockpit, the Aqa 35 presents itself as a boat to fully enjoy the sea, with a central layout based on external comfort. The yard wishes to maximise Italian know-how and revitalise the Latin market for open hulls. The Aqa 35 is aimed at a rather young audience, looking for a boat for a small cruise or a day trip.

The hull of the Aqa 35 is made of vacuum infused vinylester resin, allowing it to save weight and provide high rigidity. Equipped with two Volvo Penta engines (maximum power 400 hp), the Aqa 35 reaches a speed of 45 knots.

The superstructure made of fibreglass has a rather elegant design and a layout dedicated to idleness, to carry up to 10 people. At the front, there is a large sunbathing area (which will be used more at anchor), but it is mainly in the large and spacious cockpit that there is a very beautiful relaxation platform (sunbathing for 3 people) facing the sea, adjacent to the bathing platform. At the front, the L-shaped saloon with dining table occupies the port side. Opposite, the helm station is equipped with a bench for 1 person. A large windscreen surrounds the cockpit and shelters a bimini on the front to protect the cockpit from the sun or spray.

There are recessed decks to reach the foredeck, but also the absence of guardrails and too few handrails to facilitate travel on board.

Under the deck there is a double cabin at the bow with storage space, a second double cabin in the centre of the boat, as well as a bathroom with shower and toilet and a kitchenette with a bench that can accommodate an additional person to sleep.

The Aqa 35 can be customized on the hull, upholstery and teak colors. It is sold from 350 000 ?.
