The Mirabaud Sailing Video Award is a competition open to audiovisual professionals (cameraman, editor, directors, journalists...) which rewards each year the best sailing videos (lasting a maximum of 1:30 min) as well as their director. Sailors can also participate by making their own videos during their sailing races.
The winners of the competition will be celebrated at the Yacht Racing Forum, (Aarhus, Denmark, 27-28 November 2017) in front of numerous guests and sailing celebrities: sailors, regatta organisers, host cities, classes, sailing clubs or sponsors.
An international jury (composed of at least 5 members) will award the main prize, the"Mirabaud Sailing Video Award" to the best director based on 4 criteria :
- General appreciation
- Production quality
- Technical difficulty
- Originality
The"Audience Award" will be given to the director with the most Internet votes. Finally, the"Special Jury Prize" will reward the best videos filmed on board by sailors during sailing competitions. The winners will share the minimum sum of 2 000 ?.
As the Mirabaud Sailing Video Award website opened on 1 May 2017, the public will be invited to vote from 1 September until 20 November
