On Monday February 8, many coastal departments along the western seaboard were under orange alert, with a risk of flooding. For two days, the storm raged, gusting up to 140 km/h, even reaching 147 km/h on the island of Groix, in Morbihan.

Impressive waves broke over Brittany, Normandy and as far north as the North of France. Damage was limited, as the event was well publicized and well managed.

The storm didn't stop the more curious from taking to the seashore to film the raging waves and the several-meter-high surf.

The first, filmed from a helicopter in the Iroise Sea, shows the lighthouses of La Jument, Tévénnec and Pointe Sainte-Mathieu battered by the waves.

The second shows the town of Saint-Guénolé in Finistère, inundated by waves and foam. The water penetrated up to 300 m into the town and the streets were covered in foam. Impressive images!

The latest video shows the rollers crashing down on the rocky peaks of Ushant. The images are splendid.
