How to follow the America's Cup?

The America's Cup races begin this Saturday 27th May 2017, with a duel between the title holders - Oracle Team USE - and the French - Groupama Team France. The first race will be launched at 14:08 in Bermuda, or 19:08 in France. So how can you follow the America's Cup without being present in the Caribbean?

Follow the regattas in general

On television

Canal + was awarded the rights to broadcast the 35 e America's Cup and which will broadcast the regattas live, every day from 7 to 9 p.m. on Canal + Sport. Two exceptions:

  • The regattas of 26/05 will be broadcast from 10 pm to midnight
  • The regattas of the 28/05 will be broadcast on Canal + Décalé

The regattas will also be available for replay from the next day, via the My Canal application. Highlights will also be available on Dailymotion, CanalPlus.fr and social networks.

On the dedicated mobile application

The regattas are broadcast live via the official America's Cup mobile application, available on iOS and Android.

Social networks

The America's Cup social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) will cover the weekend regattas with behind-the-scenes lives, on-water videos, team interviews and real-time photos.

The French in particular

To follow the French team - Groupama Team France - skippered by Franck Cammas, several means are at your disposal.

The Groupama Team France website

The site will be fed regularly, throughout the day, before the race starts, after the races and at night with videos of the day.

  • Morning : announcement of the crew, program of the day, weather forecast
  • Evening : summary of the day's races, analysis and reaction of the team members
  • Night The video summary of the day will be posted on the website at the end of the day in Bermuda (middle of the night in France).

Internet/Social Networks

In the morning, early in the morning, find on Facebook the summary video of the day before. 4 hours before the regattas, the crew and the weather conditions of the day will be announced.

Various LIVE sessions provided by Le Figaro or the Groupama Team France communications team between 1200 and 1330 hours, then between 1630 and 1800 hours. During the regattas, the results and summaries of the Team France regattas will be posted instantly. The album of the day will be offered 2 hours after the return to shore.

The Figaro Live on the social networks and on its website will carry out two 15-minute live broadcasts every day from Thursday 25 May, one hour before the start of the races and one hour after the finish of the last race of the day. On days when no races are being run, there will be a single live feed. This special envoy will ensure regular follow-up in the daily newspaper and on the lefigaro.fr website.

On the radio

The regattas are to be followed between 7 pm and 9 pm on RMC from Friday 26th May to Sunday 4th June and Franck Cammas will look back daily on the highlights of the competition in the "Super Moscato Show" (Monday to Friday from 4 pm to 6 pm) and in "Les Grandes Gueules du Sport" on Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 1 pm

BFMTV and BFM Sport will broadcast daily reports, Franck Cammas' reactions and all the latest news from Groupama Team France.
