More than 100 boats to be tested at Printemps Nautique du Crouesty (15 to 17 April 2017)

The Printemps Nautique du Crouesty will take place during the Easter weekend in the bay of Quiberon, from 15 to 17 April 2017. It will be an opportunity to discover and test more than a hundred motor and sailing boats, including several new boats discovered in Paris this winter.

The 9th e edition of the Crouesty Spring will be open from April 15 to 17 in The Port of Le Crouesty at the entrance to the Gulf of Morbihan and the Bay of Quiberon, in Southern Brittany. Organised by the Mille Sabords team, they are also complementary as the Printemps Nautique du Crouesty (new boat show) opens the season and the Mille Sabord (second-hand boat show) closes it.

"The idea of the Printemps Nautique du Crouesty is to present only new boats, including 2017 novelties. Boaters were able to discover the boats ashore in Paris and they can come and try them out at the beginning of the season at Le Crouesty. All the more so as these are boats that dealers have in stock and which can be delivered before the summer" explains Caroline Martin, who is in charge of the organization of the show.

This year, the organisation is expecting many visitors since the fair falls during the school holidays, during the Easter weekend and with a weather forecast that should be there. "It's that time of the season when you feel like sailing again. People are starting to put their boats back in the water. The dates fit in well with the boating fad." says Caroline.

More than 100 boats on display and ready to try out

Visitors will be able to discover about 105 boats - 90 % motor boats and 10 % sailing boats. The supply of motor boats is increasing every year, although there are still a few sailing boats in the organisation.

All the main brands in the sailing and power boating sector will be present and will be offering the latest innovations: semi-rigid, open hulls, houseboats, sailboats, day-boats, light sailboats... Visitors will also be able to try out the brand new Barracuda 7 or discover the French preview of the Zodiac Open 7 .

The boats can be tested at sea after having reserved a niche - rather upstream - with the dealer. Depending on availability, some appointments can be made on the spot.

An onshore village with exhibitors for the general public

The onshore village, installed on the esplanade of the Port, will welcome exhibitors from the general public, focused on the maritime domain: banking, marine insurance, press, specialised fishing companies and clothing brands.

Zodiac will also present its Oculus virtual reality system, presented during the Nautic de Paris to test and configure his boat. Finally, a fishing simulation will also be offered to visitors.

New in 2017: a fishing competition

In order to make the show not only a festival of sea trials, but also an onshore show with an exhibiting village, the organisation has decided to launch this year a fishing competition from the pontoons. "We realized that we had more and more fishing motor boats of the fishing type and to make the link with our fishing equipment exhibitors, we decided to launch this contest. All you have to do is register with the Mille Sabords to participate" details Caroline.

The contest will be held on Sunday, April 16 from 2:30 to 5:00 p.m., in partnership with the Crouesty Yacht Club and the CCPR. This free contest will allow you to win prizes of fishing equipment.
