Bavaria unveils the first sketches of its future largest motor boat

Bavaria took advantage of the Miami International Boat Show to reveal a little bit about the future biggest motor boat ever built by the German shipyard. We will have to wait until the Cannes Yachting Festival 2017 for the world presentation of the R55.

The R55 will be the largest yacht ever built by Bavaria Yachts and will be presented to the public this autumn at the Cannes Yachting Festival. Visitors to Boot Düsseldorf were able to see the first sketches of the new model in a short video, but the German shipyard unveiled a little more at the Miami Boat Show.

Only a few photos and a video have filtered through, revealing elegant lines, numerous glass surfaces, both on the hull and on the main deck, as well as a very large comfort zone on the foredeck with a huge sundeck and flybridge. This 17.69 m long and 4.66 m wide boat will be the largest yacht ever built in Giebelstadt, where the other boats of the brand are built.

The R55 was designed by the architecture firm J & J Design, which had also built the R40. 3 cabins and a skipper's cabin are on board. The shipyard wishes to bet on luxury and announces that it will use "new first class materials" The launch will be equipped with an IPS 2x600 or 2x725 HP propulsion. The bathing platform will be able to support a load of 400 kg, for example a jet-ski.

Following the completion of the engineering process by Bavaria Yachts' development team, construction of the Bavaria R55 will start shortly.
