Test / Nordkapp Enduro 605 RS, a smart and stylish boat

Nordkapp Enduro 605 RS

The Nordkapp Enduro 605 combines storage tips, performance and a sporty look. A rather successful cocktail, to be discovered thanks to the pictures of our tests in Italy.

A windshield that makes your hair stand on end

Among the many boats present on Lake Maggiore for the Evinrude tests, the Nordkapp Enduro 605 stands out with its large glass windscreen. The large, shaped piece imposes its dynamic style on the boat while providing good wind and spray protection for the driver. The backward position of the console accentuates this safety.

With its taut lines at the front and straight bow, the Nordkapp is resolutely sporty.

The optional grey deck covering gives a more elegant and warm look to the cockpit.

Good performance

The tested Nordkapp Enduro 605 RS was equipped with an Evinrude 150 HO outboard, available as OEM equipment. This model actually delivers 165 HP at full power. With a setting of 400 rpm, the quietness at idle is extremely appreciable.

Once off the dock, the coxswain increases the revolutions and the boat is already running at 3500 rpm. The cruising speed of 30 knots is reached at 4500 rpm. At 41 knots and 5300 rpm, the boat is at its top speed. The Evinrude instruments indicate an instantaneous fuel consumption of 23 l/h at 25 knots.

The boat's behaviour is pleasant, with good manoeuvrability. Lake Maggiore, which was very smooth during the trials, makes it difficult to assess the passage through the sea.

Smart equipment and storage

The boat has many little tricks to ensure a comfortable summer sailing. The bow anchor locker cover, which is wide enough, and the opening in the guardrails allow boarding from the bow.

Front range

Large lockers at the stern and under the console allow the storage of equipment in the boat.

Rear trunks

As for life on board, the tested version had a fridge drawer under the console to keep drinks cool. Numerous cup holders and bottle holders are positioned close to the bench seats.

Cupholders

A towing mast allows the practice of wake-boarding and towed sports.
