The final leg of the Louis Vuitton America's Cup World Series will take place November 19-20, 2016 in Fukuoka, Japan. It will be an opportunity to find out the winner of these qualifying events, who will earn two points for the next stage of the America's Cup in May 2017.

The six teams competing in the 35th America's Cup will meet this weekend, November 19-20, 2016 for the final round of the Louis Vuitton America's Cup World Series. After eight regattas and six countries visited, it will be Japan who will close this America's Cup pre-cup. Fukuoka will therefore be the last round before the Bermuda event in 2017 and will consecrate the winner of the Louis Vuitton America's Cup World Series.

The winner will also take two points for the Louis Vuitton America's Cup Qualifiers, the first leg of the America's Cup. A way to encourage the teams to do everything possible to get the best result in these Louis Vuitton Cup qualifiers.

All the teams will therefore play for the win in Japan. Starting with Land Rover BAR, which is 14 points behind ORACLE TEAM USA, second with 423 points. Next comes Emirates Team New Zealand, three points behind the Americans. These top three teams have every chance of winning the Louis Vuitton America's Cup World Series. But there is also SoftBank Team Japan, who are in fourth place with 399 points.

Artemis Racing, which is now on the fifth step of the podium, can mathematically finish the season well placed, even if second place is more within the reach of Nathan Outteridge and his crew. In 6th position, we find Groupama Team France with 360 points.
