The Sunreef 74, the spacious catamaran that privileges life on board

Launched at the end of 2014, the Sunreef 74 is a spacious and comfortable sailing catamaran, but still easily maneuverable by 2 people.

Sunreef's new sailing catamaran, the Sunreef 74, has just received the award of "Best Sailing Yacht in the World over 15m" at the Asia Boating Awards ceremony. This is an opportunity for us to present you this new model, whose first unit âeuros Wildberry âeuros was delivered to its owners last March. 4 new units have already been ordered and will be launched in the coming months, the construction period being only 7 months.

The Sunreef 74 is a spacious 22.5m sailing catamaran with a surface area of 240 m2! âeuros and easy to handle by only 2 people, in all sea conditions. The sails are set from the navigation station on the flybridge (Sunreef was the first shipyard in the world to offer this type of arrangement with the helm station on a fly). The mast is set back for greater power and better balance of the sail plan when sailing downwind. The Sunreef 74 has a large curved windshield and its vertical bows and limited freeboard give it a dynamic look. Its sporty-looking, slender hull allows for increased speed under sail. The self-tacking genoa makes navigation easier. Everything on board is automatic, except the helm. The mast, the boom, the beam as well as the arms of the dinghy lifting system are made of carbon, lightening the catamaran, without affecting its stability (these huge parts in cabone are not subcontracted and are made at the shipyard). The first model, Wildberry it is equipped with a carbon in-boom furler for easier maneuvering.

Life on board, at the heart of the construction

The Sunreef 74 has been designed with life on board in mind and to provide the greatest comfort while sailing. The living space of more than 240m2 is composed of a 35m2 salon, completely open, with a 360° panoramic view, a 20m2 owner's cabin with king-size bed and bathtub, 2 guest cabins of 14m2 and a 10m2 galley as well as a large crew quarter. Even though this is a standard boat, the interior layout of the Sunreef 74 is fully customizable.

With very large hull windows, the boat is bright and its layout modern. There is plenty of storage space on board for long-distance cruising. Outside the boat, there is also storage in the front peaks and in the lockers for toys, sails, fishing and diving equipment. A sufficiently large locker can accommodate kayaks and windsurfing boards. The flybridge has a sundeck and a large outdoor lounge.
