Port Olona is the marina of Les Sables-d'Olonne It is better known as the port of call for many regattas, such as the Solo Maître Coq, a few days ago, but above all for the Vendée Globe. It is one of the most important marinas in the Vendée, with 1400 berths and an occupation of 1300 boats in the summer, depending on the size of the boats. The size of the boats moored on the pontoons can go up to 30 metres with a draught of 5 metres. Although, depending on the occupation of the port, a 50-metre unit can be accommodated. " We've been able to meet all the demands and we haven't turned away a passenger in five years." explains the harbourmaster.
The race pontoon is a major asset for the port of Olona as it can accommodate particularly large units.
Access to the port
Reception and access to the port is 24/24h, in all weather except south-east and south-west winds force 8 to 9 B.
Main alignment: the 2 lights at 320° then 327°/Dredged channel at 2 m, N-S alternating current 1 knots/Tighten the east bank of the channel/Standby anchorage in a harbour in good weather no mooring locker.
The harbour office is open 24 hours a day.
