The Minicat inflatable catamaran is a small, lightweight sailboat that can be taken anywhere and assembled by itself in 25 minutes. Available in two versions, this small sailboat has excellent sailing qualities as well as a fun side. Once stored, it fits in one bag for the 310 version and in two bags for the 420 version.
" The inflatable catamaran is easily transportable, in the trunk of a car, or even in the hold of a plane. Once disassembled - depending on the model - it fits in one or two bags. It is a product that is not yet well represented in France, but it is interesting for people who do not necessarily want to buy a trailer or who do not have space to store it. The 310 fits in one bag and weighs 36 kg and the 420 fits in 2 bags that are each 23/24 kg" explains Carole Fougère, Executive Director of the Comptoir de la Baie des Anges the only French dealer of this ultra-light catamaran.

Two models available
The Minicat 420 is an inflatable catamaran of 4.20 meters, available in 3 versions: Minicat Evoque, Minicat Instinct and Minicat Emotion. It is equipped with 45 cm diameter floats made of abrasion- and wear-resistant reinforced het-tex. The frame of the trampoline is made of lightweight aluminum and the trampoline is made of high-strength plastic fabric. Keels (underneath the floats) allow you to sail in deep water with great performance. The aluminum mast measures 5.05 meters when assembled.
Rigid and resistant, it allows to combine safety, performance and pleasure. It is equipped with a mainsail and a jib with a total surface area of 9.7 m2. Finally, the Minicat 420 is equipped with a 90° lifting rudder. " On the 420 we fit a maximum of 4 on it, it's ideal for a family of two parents and two kids, but can also be used as a double or single."
Prices for the 420 range from 4,600 to 4,950 euros.
The Minicat 310 is a 3.10 meter inflatable catamaran available in three versions: Minicat Standard, Minicat Super and Minicat Sport. The frame of the Minicat 310 is made of rigid, transparent polyester sections on a lightweight aluminum frame. The trampoline is made of high-strength plastic fabric with foam seats that allow for a comfortable ride.
It is equipped with 33 cm diameter floats made of reinforced hey-tex, resistant to abrasion and wear. The keel, mast and sail characteristics are the same as on the 420 except that the mast measures 3.8 meters when assembled and the sail has a total area of 5.15 m2. Finally, on the Minicat 310, the rudder is attached to the center tube, but also rises to 90°. " The 310 is suitable for one adult and one child at most, as it is smaller and you need room to move around on when tacking."
