Presented as a world preview at the Yachting Cannes Festival last September, the new Lagoon 630 is an ocean-going motor catamaran. Its seaworthy qualities, inherited from the famous Lagoon 620, and its great autonomy enable it to make long crossings in complete serenity. Added to these qualities is a comfortable, luxurious layout that transforms it into a true floating residence, whether at anchor or underway.
A modified exterior for greater comfort
The hull lines of the 630 MY have been modified to ensure a low pitch attitude at 16 knots and flat water exits. This new hull design ensures better maneuverability and reduces drag in the water. The size of the rudders has also been reduced.
The catamaran is powered by two 260 hp engines (Volvo D4-260), giving a cruising speed of 12 knots and a top speed of 16 knots. Its fuel capacity and reasonable fuel consumption make it ideal for long voyages.
There's nothing new on deck, but the flybridge of the 630 MY has been completely redesigned. The helm stations have been redesigned, and a large folding dining table on the starboard side has been installed, along with a bar area and a sunbathing area forward. The hard-top/bimini with sunroof and spa option round out the new features.
Unchanged interior, Lagoon success story
The 630 MY has been designed along the same lines as the highly successful Lagoon 620. It retains the same principles, such as the side galley or central galley and a minimum number of cabins of 4, which can be increased to 6. Only the chart table has been modified to fit the Motor Yacht range. Its interior is equally suited to coastal and ocean cruising, and will appeal to the most demanding yachtsmen.
