CL Yachts unveils the CLC115, a versatile three-deck catamaran

CL Yachts changes course with the launch of its very first catamaran, a 35-meter model announced for Fort Lauderdale in October 2025. The CLC115 inaugurates a new series christened "C-Series", in stark contrast to the Hong Kong-based shipyard's previous monohull productions. The challenge: to offer a tri-deck, all-composite multihull platform designed to combine large volume, modularity and hybrid motorization.

A strategic shift to multihulls

With the CLC115, CL Yachts enters the large motor catamaran segment. This marks a significant industrial evolution, both in terms of production methods and design. The choice of the multihull responds to a growing demand for space, comfort at anchor and energy efficiency. And with a main deck, a middle deck and a sun deck, the CLC115 plays the volume card on every level.

This tri-deck configuration, more common on displacement monohulls, remains rare on multihulls of this size. In this case, it allows us to exploit an extended living area, without compromising the natural stability of the two hulls.

Infusion construction and RINA certification

The CLC115 is made from vacuum infusion composite, a technique that the shipyard has long mastered. The challenge here is to optimize the weight/stiffness ratio, ensure perfect lay-up homogeneity and guarantee high quality control. The entire hull is molded in a single operation.

RINA Yacht Class certification, often required for yachts over 24 meters, covers structural, electrical, safety and stability aspects. For shipowners, it is a guarantee of compliance with international standards. For refit professionals and crews, it facilitates maintenance, audits and resale in certain areas.

Hybrid propulsion and energy autonomy

The CLC115 is powered by two MAN V8-1300 engines, for a top speed of 18 knots and a cruising speed of 10 knots. But the main interest lies in the hybrid option offered by the shipyard. This mode enables silent cruising over short distances or in restricted areas, while reducing the carbon footprint on board.

The system is completed by a home automation module for energy management and the possibility of integrating solar panels. The challenge here is to improve autonomy on board, by reducing the need for generators, while adapting consumption to actual usage. This is a key point for charted units or in protected areas.

Modular fittings for multiple uses

The CLC115 can accommodate up to 12 passengers, with a full-width owner's suite on the main deck and four guest cabins on the middle deck. A sixth cabin can be converted into a gym, massage area or nursery.

The principle of modularity goes even further: outdoor areas on all three decks can be adapted to suit owners' needs, whether for sunbathing, bars, lounges or tender storage. The aft platform is fitted with drop-down skirts to create a beach flush with the water.

This flexibility will be of particular interest to top-of-the-range charter operators, families looking for a variety of uses, or owners with large crews (up to eight people on board).

Between naval architecture and interior design

CL Yachts entrusted the naval architecture and exterior lines to Incat Crowther. The interiors were designed by Supertomato Studio. The style is sober, with soft shapes, a neutral palette and integrated furnishings. The circulation plan remains open to encourage visual connections between inside and outside.

With its emphasis on unobstructed views, natural materials and the integration of home automation equipment, CL Yachts targets a clientele that values comfort without ostentation. The challenge remains to combine the generous volumes of a tri-deck with a certain aesthetic coherence.
