Tour Voile 2025: Dunkerque-Kiloutou wins the Trophée Région Bretagne, total suspense before the grand finale
On the eve of the final day of racing in the Bay of La Forêt, Dunkerque-Kiloutou wins the Trophée Région Bretagne, after a consistent performance over the two major 24-hour loops contested this week. La Réunion and Paprec by Normandy Inshore Program complete the podium in this special ranking.
In the provisional overall ranking, Paprec by Normandy Inshore Program remains in the lead, with an 11-point advantage over Dunkerque-Kiloutou and a 17-point lead over La Réunion. But there's still plenty to play for ahead of Saturday July 12, when the three leaders will be decided by the final constructed courses.
This 2025 edition of the Tour Voile, marked by varied weather, tight duels and constant intensity on the water, has already lived up to all its promises. 27 races have been run, combining strategy, endurance and sheer speed. Tomorrow's final verdict will determine which crew will engrave their name on the Yacht Club de France Trophy.
The Ocean Race Europe 2025: heading for a spectacular and committed edition
Just 1 month to go until the start of The Ocean Race Europe 2025, a unique adventure combining performance, environmental commitment and crew spirit. From August 10 to September 20, seven mixed IMOCA crews of 13 nationalities, including some of the biggest names in the Vendée Globe, will set off from Kiel (Germany) on a 4,500-mile, five-stop tour of Europe, with major stopovers in Portsmouth, Cartagena, Nice, Genoa and an unprecedented finish in the Bay of Kotor (Montenegro).
Each team, comprising 4 sailors and 1 onboard reporter, will face a wide variety of conditions in the North Sea, Atlantic, Mediterranean and Adriatic. Among the skippers taking part: Boris Herrmann, Yoann Richomme, Rosalin Kuiper, Paul Meilhat, Alan Roura and Ambrogio Beccaria, all supported by top-flight crews.
As far as the environment is concerned, the race is part of the Racing for the Ocean initiative, with oceanographic measurement tools on board and real-time weather data broadcast.
At each stopover, the Ocean Live Park, free and open to all, will offer animations, immersive exhibitions and meetings with sailors, for an experience to be enjoyed both at sea and ashore. See you on August 10 at 3:45pm for the departure of the first leg to Portsmouth.

Vendée Arctique 2026: a new course to the Arctic Circle
The Vendée Arctique âeuros Les Sables d'Olonne returns from June 7, 2026 with a revolutionary course: for the first time, IMOCA single-handed skippers will have to cross the Arctic Circle (66° North) at the longitude of their choice before returning to Les Sables. This unprecedented tactical freedom promises multiple strategies, complex navigation and total commitment in the extreme conditions of the Far North.
A Grade 2 race in the IMOCA Globe Series circuit, it will mark the first qualifying stage towards the Vendée Globe 2028 and will award 200 points to the winner. Fog, cold, solitude and environmental exclusion zones will add to the intensity of this extraordinary event.
A free race village open to all will be set up in Les Sables d'Olonne from May 30 to June 7, with events, meetings and awareness-raising activities on Arctic climate issues.
Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez 2025: an exceptional edition in prospect
From September 27 to October 5, 2025, Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez promises to be more spectacular than ever. For its 27th edition, the event will bring together a prestigious fleet of classic and modern yachts, including the legendary schooner Atlantic, racing in the Gulf of St Tropez for the first time, and the brand-new Magic Carpet e, a 100-foot Verdier, packed with technological innovations.
In the Maxis, Mini-Maxis and Wally classes, the battle promises to be intense, with the arrival of new machines such as Django, the first 71' Wallyrocket, and the return of the Carkeek Daguet design. Traditional sailboats are not to be outdone, with the remarkable returns of Cambria, Sumurun and Mariella, and the exceptional presence of Cariad (1896), the oldest auric ketch in the world.
Between sporting performance, club spirit and elegance at sea, Les Voiles 2025 promises a unique blend of competition and conviviality, with a dense program punctuated by traditional regattas, the Club 55 Cup and the prestigious Rolex Trophy.

The Solitaire du Figaro Paprec 2025: 34 sailors at the start of a race as mythical as ever
34 skippers, including 12 newcomers, will take the start of the 56th edition of La Solitaire du Figaro Paprec, the flagship event in solo ocean racing. Demanding, feared and respected, the race once again promises an intense battle, where consistency, daring and endurance will be the keys to success for a final finish in Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue.
Tom Dolan, the defending champion, is aiming for a historic double, while Charlotte Yven (Skipper Macif), on the strength of her recent successes, has lofty ambitions. Veteran Alexis Loison, taking part for the 19th time, is still dreaming of victory. Behind them, a young generation of Hugo Dhallenne, Romain Bouillard and Quentin Vlamynck are determined to shake up the hierarchy.
With 5 nationalities represented, a 2nd edition of the double-handed Paprec Challenge, and a strong line-up, this Solitaire 2025 confirms its status as a true school of excellence. All dream of joining the closed circle of winners of a race as iconic as it is unforgiving.
Les Sables âeuros Horta âeuros Les Sables: an unprecedented second solo stage
Top start for the second stage of Les Sables âeuros Horta âeuros Les Sables, launched this Tuesday at 2:00 pm (HF) from the Azores. For the first time in its history, the race will be contested solo, with 23 skippers at the start, ready to tackle the 1,270-mile head-to-head race across the ocean to Les Sables d'Olonne.
Among the favourites: Luca Rosetti, leader after the first stage, once again off to a good start, but closely followed by William Mathelin-Moreaux and Guillaume Pirouelle. With less than two hours separating the top ten, the race promises to be hotly contested, tactical and full of twists and turns.
For many, this format is a baptism of fire, as for Pamela Lee or Djemila Tassin, who are discovering the demands of solo offshore sailing. Others, like Mathelin-Moreaux, relish the autonomy and complexity of the exercise.
Arrival is scheduled for July 14, with fireworks and victory in sight.

Head for Pattaya for the Asian Championships 2025 in Techno293!
The Techno293 & Techno293Plus Asian Championships 2025 will be held from November 25 to 30 on Jomtien beach in Pattaya, Thailand. For the second year running, the best young windsurfers from Asia and beyond will compete in a sporting and festive atmosphere on one of the country's most emblematic spots.
Registration is now open, with a limited number of rental sets available. Participants are invited to register early to guarantee their equipment.
Jean Le Cam turns the page on the Vendée Globe and embarks on a new project
Jean Le Cam won't be setting sail again for a 7th Vendée Globe, but he's not done with the sea yet. The Breton skipper is embarking on a new adventure aboard "Alegria", a 1986 Swan 59 currently under restoration. The aim is to build a European sporting program, both single-handed and crewed, around a major social cause.
His IMOCA "Virgile", Le Cam's 6th Vendée Globe boat, will be offered for sale or charter from September 2025. In excellent condition, the boat is offered at ?4.2 million ex VAT, or as part of a turnkey project based in Port-La-Forêt, including survey, insurance and technical support. MACIF Santé Prévoyance triumphs in the first Course des Caps
On Saturday, July 5, the Imoca MACIF Santé Prévoyance won the first edition of the Course des Caps, crossing the finish line in Boulogne-sur-Mer after 6 days, 1 hour and 10 minutes of racing. Skippered by Sam Goodchild and supported by Loïs Berrehar, Charlotte Yven and Guillaume Combescure, the crew masterfully sailed the 1,800-mile course around the British Isles, including 1,200 miles in the lead.
In tough, tactical conditions, MACIF Santé Prévoyance widened the gap in the Celtic Sea, rounded the Fastnet in the lead, and resisted the pressure of its pursuers, notably Vulnérable, before holding on to its lead to the finish. A highly symbolic success for the quartet, united by the desire to honor the winning boat of the last Vendée Globe and its regular skipper Charlie Dalin.
This victory marks a promising start for the Goodchild/Berrehar duo for the upcoming Transat Café L'OR.
WASZP 2025 French Championship in Carnac: Peter Cope crowned, Hippolyte Gruet shines
Organized by the Carnac Yacht Club from July 4 to 8, the WASZP 2025 French Championship brought together 29 racers from seven nations for five days of spectacular racing in Quiberon Bay. Despite a windless first day, conditions proved ideal, alternating between light breezes and steady winds of up to 23 knots.
Peter Cope (GBR) won the overall classification after 15 runs and 11 slaloms, ahead of Hippolyte Gruet, the first Frenchman, and Hoel Menard, a Franco-American. Roo Purves (GBR), long in the lead, dropped back after a difficult day. On the women's side, Pearl Lattanzi (USA) finished first (12th overall).
In the youth category, Hippolyte Gruet wins his ticket to the international Sail GP final in Sydney in February 2026, after an intense duel with Noé Dumaine. See you in Weymouth (GBR) for the Worlds starting July 19.
