YOT 53: an inboard motor catamaran designed for ocean cruising

With the YOT 53, CatanaGroup introduces its first inboard model in the YOT Power Catamarans range. Designed for both coastal and offshore cruising, this power catamaran combines comfort, volume and energy efficiency, while striving to maintain a footprint compatible with Mediterranean marinas.

The YOT 53 marks an important milestone for CatanaGroup, which is moving from outboard to inboard for its new power catamaran. Developed in collaboration with JNJ Design, this model combines the advantages of a multihull with the expectations of a demanding powerboat clientele.

A power catamaran with volume and stability

With its two hulls, the YOT 53 offers 40% more living space than a monohull of the same length. This architecture ensures greater stability, particularly at anchor, and different behavior in rough seas. Without going into details of the boat's characteristics, the shipyard also points out its "moderate" beam, which is often incompatible with a berth...

Interior design: decompartmentalizing and optimizing volumes

The YOT 53's layout revolves around a tilt-and-turn door at the stern, inspired by Bali models, which unites the cockpit and saloon to create a space open to the sea. The U-shaped galley at the front of the nacelle frees up circulation and allows more fluid organization on board.

Owner's cabin with access to a private front terrace

Positioned forward and occupying the entire width of the catamaran, the owner's cabin boasts a 180-degree sea view. Featuring a king-size bed, walk-in wardrobe, bathroom with separate toilet and direct access to a private forward cockpit, transformed into a relaxation terrace: this configuration is clearly aimed at high-end, independent, extended cruising.

A multifunctional rooftop for extended crew use

The flybridge extends the full width of the boat, with a U-shaped dining area, sunbathing area for six, steering position and integrated preparation area. The whole area is protected by a structural hard-top. This configuration allows permanent occupation of the rooftop, day and night.

Aft: modularity and access to the sea

The aft cockpit offers multiple access to the sea, with opening platforms, retractable sunbeds, modular furniture and a hydraulic platform for bathing or loading watercraft. An integrated telescopic crane stores the tender on the aft platform.

Two layout versions for different uses

The YOT 53 is available in a three-cabin version, with owner's suite and two VIP or guest cabins, or in a four-cabin version with two cabins forward. This flexibility allows the boat to be adapted to family or charter use.

In-line shaft drives and modern energy solutions

The catamaran can be fitted with two Yanmar engines, 440 or 550 hp, in line with the shaft for direct, vibration-free transmission. A 48-volt lithium battery configuration enables power-hungry consumers (such as air conditioning) to be supplied without the need for a generator.

Industrial construction in Portugal

Since 2024, YOT Power Catamarans has had a dedicated production facility in Aveiro, Portugal. This location houses the YOT 36, YOT 41 and YOT 53 models, facilitating rational production and reduced delivery times.
