Charal and Jérémie Beyou will end their partnership after the 2026 Route du Rhum. The partnership will have lasted ten years and spanned two IMOCA cycles. Until the transatlantic race, the team remains focused on preparing Charal 2.
A partnership that began in 2017
The partnership between Charal and Beyou Racing will end after the 2026 Route du Rhum. The announcement was made official on July 27, 2026, by the sponsor and the Breton skipper?s team. Since 2017, the program has been based on two IMOCA yachts, Charal and then Charal 2. Jérémie Beyou has also competed in two editions of the Vendée Globe under the Charal banner. The team?s racing record includes 18 podium finishes, including six victories. Among its recent results is the win at the 2025 Transat Café L?OR.
Charal 2 will remain in the race until the 2026 Route du Rhum
Both partners state that the decision was made by mutual agreement. No details have yet been released regarding the future of Beyou Racing, the boat?s next skipper, or the Charal 2 program following the transatlantic race.
These announcements will be made after the 2026 Route du Rhum. Until then, the team will continue preparing the IMOCA for this final race that Charal and Jérémie Beyou will compete in together.
