A unique auction dedicated to sea rescue

Rescue at sea is an issue of vital importance, particularly in the Mediterranean and along the French coast. Organized by the SEAtizens association, an auction entitled "Un Trésor à la Carte" is planned. It will be hosted by the Millon auction house. More than forty unique works will be on offer, all created on nautical charts signed by renowned sailors. These works are the fruit of collaboration between artists and sailors to raise public awareness of the cause of rescue at sea.
Art in the service of solidarity

The 2024 event follows a first edition in 2019, which raised nearly 50,000 euros. "Un Trésor à la Carte" aims to highlight the importance of rescue missions at sea, often carried out in difficult conditions. By offering a platform where art meets the sea, this event enables artists and sailors to support a common cause.
Participating artists include such iconic figures as Hervé Di Rosa, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac and Speedy Graphito, while participating sailors include such sailing legends as Armel Le Cléac'h, Isabelle Autissier and Francis Joyon. Together, they have contributed to the creation of works that blend art with a passion for sailing.
Sea rescue: a vital mission

SNSM and SOS Méditerranée play a crucial role in saving lives at sea. The former, with its volunteers spread along the French coastline, helps boaters in difficulty, while the latter focuses on rescuing migrants in the Mediterranean. The Navire Avenir project, meanwhile, aims to build the first vessel entirely dedicated to saving lives on the high seas.

Supporting these associations is more essential than ever, as their work saves thousands of lives every year. As Jérémy Bertaud, President of SEAtizens, points out: " Sea rescue is a cause close to our hearts. With this auction, we have a unique opportunity to combine beauty and solidarity. Each work is also a concrete gesture to help those who risk their lives to save others. "
Practical details of the sale

The sale will take place on tuesday, December 3, 2024 at 7:00 p.m at the Lafayette Anticipations Foundation in Paris.
