Yamaha is rejuvenating its Max SHO four-cylinder outboard range with a more modern look and a few new features.

The Max SHO range, which extends from 90 to 250 hp, offers a facelift to its 90 to 175 hp in-line four-cylinder engines.

The facelift begins with a more modern look, featuring elegant 3D markings and streamlined stickers. The engine also benefits from a darker color for the hood and lower unit.

Regarding the technical part, the mechanical base remains unchanged: a four-cylinder, 16-valve EFI block. The trolling speed setting of 550 to 1000 rpm in 50 rpm increments is also retained to satisfy anglers. This trolling speed can also be set to 200 rpm below idle, provided the engine is equipped with the 6Y8 or CL5 LCD display or the new remote switch.

Another important new feature is that Max SHO engines can now be fitted with an optional 25" shaft, making them suitable for more boats.
