A renewed partnership between Tyde and BMW
Founded in 2021, German company Tyde unveiled the Icon in 2023, a 13 m electric foiling yacht for passenger transport, designed in collaboration with BMW. This time, the company is developing a new electrically-powered luxury yacht for private customers. This is a 15 m-long open hull with a progressive design. Once again, Tyde will be responsible for the design, development, production and marketing of the project. BWM is contributing components and experience in the field of electromobility. The design is once again the work of Designworks, a subsidiary of the BMW Group.

Electric motors and foils
Like the professional model, the Open will be equipped with foils, two 100 kW electric motors and a 400 kWh battery. Announced speeds are 30 knots maximum and 25 for cruising, with a range of 50 miles. Solar panels are installed on the imposing roof to power the batteries.

An open but livable model
The design is marked by a strongly stepped bow and tapering bulwarks at the stern. The cockpit is well protected by a highly curved windshield, extended by an imposing fixed hard-top held in place by reinforcements installed on the bulwarks. At 14.8 m long and 4.5 m wide, the Open can accommodate up to 8 people on board. Its flush deck layout features a two-person helm station, a galley area with a generous saloon, a double stern sundeck and a relaxation area on the foredeck.

Below deck, this model will offer a spacious, bright and tastefully decorated cabin. It includes a sleeping area, a large TV screen, an office area, plenty of storage space and a fully equipped bathroom.

Delivery scheduled for autumn 2024
The new Day Yacht is available to order, and the first units will be delivered in autumn 2024.
