Special Edition / The Maverick project: a floating showcase for Quick's expertise

The Quick Group offers a wide range of equipment for pleasure boats, capable of meeting both on-board comfort and maneuvering needs. This range of solutions is highlighted on the motoryacht Maverick, a real floating showroom.

A refit that doubles as a showroom

The Quick Group unveiled an original project for Maverick, a 1996 Falcon 80 motoryacht. This 80-foot unit underwent an 8-month extensive refit, in partnership with Simrad Yachting, incorporating numerous elements from the Quick Group catalog. The Italian equipment manufacturer has turned it into a floating showcase of its know-how, connecting various Plug and Play technologies, as CEO Michele Marzucco points out: "Seeing this refit carried out entirely with all our products installed on board was moving, and even more so having integrated them with the systems of our partners of excellence who believed with us in this great challenge."

A showcase for Quick's new products

The Maverick is an opportunity to showcase the many recent advances in the Quick catalog, which can be used for both original equipment and refits, as the project demonstrates.

This includes the MC2 Seacentyric stabilization system, combining Viator fins, the Quick Gyro gyrostabilizer and interceptors for trim management. This is the full extent of Quick's rapidly expanding range of products, designed for optimum navigation comfort, with an easy-to-use software interface.

The latest model of bow thrusters, the BTAC 300S features twin synchronous propellers. Its synchronous motor is 70% lighter than the asynchronous equivalent, while taking up 30% less space.

The XR6 windlass, a recent addition to the XROY range, gives the Maverick a normal mooring pulling capacity of up to 1,700 kg.

Particularly interesting for refits, the hydraulic platform from Sanguineti Chiavari, a subsidiary recently integrated into the Quick Group, can be used to launch and lift tenders. Its aluminum structure keeps weight down.

Quick doesn't forget style and elegance. By using the Arcipelago collection for the boat's lighting, both exterior and interior, to designs by Parisotto+Formenton, it combines aesthetics with limited power consumption thanks to LEDs.

Long-established products

While we can't list all the Quick equipment on board, other tried-and-tested items, recognized by many boatyards, are found on board the Maverick. These include remote controls, chain counter, inverter, battery charger and water heater.

With Maverick, boatbuilders and yachtsmen can showcase the wealth of Quick's offer.
