2 m longer
The Silent 62 3-Deck is Silent Yachts' first three-deck model. Based on the popular Silent 60, it features a hull length 2 m longer. As a result, the Silent 62 3-Deck boasts an overall length of 18.86 m, and gains 50 m2 of additional available space with the addition of this third deck. This replaces the retractable flybridge.
A design to optimize performance
Designed and built by Slient-Yachts in carbon fiber to reduce overall weight, this new catamaran has benefited from CFD studies to optimize performance. It features inverted bows and an extended waterline. Exterior details include long glazing on the hull bulwarks, and increased glazing area on the rest of the deck.
A flybridge with three different versions
With three different layout options available for the additional third deck, an open-air saloon, an enclosed saloon or an owner's suite, each customer will be able to choose the configuration they prefer. The open version will be premiered at Cannes.
Instead of the standard flybridge, which offers 21 m2 of space, the "Front exit" version features a 50m2 open flydeck with a bar, galley, dining table and bench seating for 10 to 12 people. Numerous sofas and relaxation areas, as well as a helm station, complete the layout.
Interior layout with 4 cabins
The interior layout features 4 cabins and a crew cabin. All cabins offer double or twin berths, with en-suite bathrooms featuring separate showers. The spacious main deck saloon, with its 50 m2 of floor space, features large windows and ample outdoor space aft and on the foredeck.
The same propulsion as the Silent 60
The Silent 62-3 Deck uses the same powertrain as the Silent 60, and is equipped with 42 solar panels generating up to 17kWp. Electric propulsion is provided by the E-Power + drivetrain, comprising two 340 kW electric motors, a 150 kW diesel generator and a 286 kWh water-cooled lithium battery.
According to the shipyard, the catamaran is capable of sailing up to 100 miles a day on solar power alone. Solar energy also powers all onboard systems, without the need for a generator. The generator is only used to recharge the batteries when higher speeds are required, or when weather conditions are unfavorable for several days. With a draught of just over one meter, the Silent 62 3-Deck can navigate in shallow bays.
According to the shipyard, it can easily be maneuvered by two people, but there's plenty of room to accommodate more people on board.
A hydraulic platform for water toys
The optional hydraulic rear platform doubles as a swim platform, and can accommodate a tender up to 4.2 m long. Kayaks, SUPs and electric bikes can also be stored on board behind the transom.
