Macif launched
Charlie Dalin's new IMOCA Macif Santé Prévoyance was launched on Saturday June 24. Built at CDK Technologies in Port La Forêt, the boat took nearly 22 months to complete. This is a multi-purpose boat, designed by Guillaume Verdier in collaboration with the Mer Concept teams. Charlie Dalin has drawn on his experience of the Vendée Globe 2020 and his single-handed sailing to design a boat without compromising on performance, but with a major focus on ergonomics. The hull has been extensively reworked for improved behavior in rough seas. The cockpit has also been improved to avoid too many displacements.
