An active mercato in the Ocean Fifty fleet

Since the introduction of a numerus clausus limiting the fleet to eleven units, each transaction or construction is of strategic importance. In 2024, the Neo Sailing Technologies shipyard has seized its opportunity by launching a new unit, which will be launched in May and entrusted to Emmanuel Le Roch and Basile Bourgnon under the Edenred colors.
Transactions are well underway: Realites, put up for sale by Fabrice Cahierc, should quickly find a buyer, while the ex-Primonial, winner of the Ocean Fifty Series 2024, will now fly the colors of Inter Invest, which is maintaining its commitment to the class. His former trimaran is currently being negotiated for a future buyer.

Wind of Trust, damaged during the Route des Terre-Neuvas 2024, will be repaired and is looking for a partner. Upwind by MerConcept is helmed by Anne-Claire Le Berre, the only female skipper entered in 2025. The established figures remain in place with Erwan Le Roux on Koesio, Thibaut Vauchel-Camus on Solidaires En Peloton, Baptiste Hulin on Viabilis Oceans, Luke Berry on Le Rire Médecin - Lamotte, and Laurent Bourguès on Mon Bonnet Rose, in search of an additional budget.
A 2025 timetable refocused on the Atlantic

After a 2024 edition marked by stopovers in the Mediterranean, the championship returns to an exclusively Atlantic program, before a return to inland seas in 2026.
Program 2025 :
-
Act 1 âeuros Saint-Malo (June 10-15) : Demanding coastal courses in the heart of Brittany.
-
Act 2 âeuros Concarneau (June 24-29): Grand Prix under the banner of environmental responsibility.
-
Act 3 âeuros Rolex Fastnet Race (July 26): double-handed qualifier for the Transat Café l'Or.
-
Act 4 âeuros Transat Café l'Or (October 26): A transatlantic race between Le Havre and Fort-de-France.
The most experienced teams will be able to fine-tune their settings during side events such as the Tour de Belle-Île (May 9-11) and the Armen Race (May 29-June 1).
A stronger commitment to eco-responsibility
The Ocean Fifty class continues to reflect on its environmental impact, focusing on two major areas: eco-design of trimarans and reducing the carbon footprint of events.
An ambitious study, financed by the class and four shipowners (Solidaires En Peloton, Wind Of Trust, Koesio and Neo Sailing Technologies), is underway with the Think+ agency, in partnership with BPI France. The aim is to measure and reduce the impact of the construction, operation and life cycle of trimarans.
Act 2 in Concarneau will serve as a CSR laboratory, with initiatives to minimize the event's ecological footprint: optimized travel, redesigned signage and an eco-responsible village. Women's access to ocean racing professions will also be highlighted through conferences and meetings.
