Y Breeze 75, a sleek, sporty daysailer for Mediterranean sailing

Yachts unveils its new daysailer project. It's the Y Breeze 75, 22.86 m in length, specially designed for the Mediterranean and featuring a clever cockpit to make the most of the anchorage.

A new concept for experiencing the sea

YYachts presents the Y Breeze 75 daysailer, a 22.86 m sailboat with a sleek, distinctive design. YYAchts, a German shipyard, builds carbon sailboats between 70 and 100 feet. The shipyard has chosen the name Breeze to emphasize the fact that this is not just a new model, but one of the world's most successful yachts "a new concept for experiencing the sea differently".

A distinctive design

The naval architecture and exterior design were created in collaboration with Cossuti Yacht Design. The YB75 has a sporty character, distinguished by a walkaround layout and a very low roof, level with the bulwarks. The slender, V-shaped bow is continued by inverted sheer deck lines. At the stern, tilting bulwarks create a large aft deck for increased comfort at anchor.

A cockpit to enjoy the anchorage

To make the most of the cockpit, the design team came up with an ingenious solution that preserves the flush deck while offering a host of comfort features. Flush hatches, concealed in the floor, house several elements, including a galley that unfolds with a sink, two fridges, one for drinks and one for food, and a barbecue. Step-free walkaround circulation makes it easy to move around the roof.

The telescopic keel reduces the draught to 2.50 meters, allowing you to head for shallower anchorages. The fenders are deployed via a special system and stowed on board to save space. To make the most of the Mediterranean summer, the YB75 offers a range of sunbathing options: sunbathing at berth or concealed in a locker, using the same system as the galley.

Customizable, uncluttered interior styling

Developed in collaboration with Wendover Studio, the interior styling is designed to ensure an inviting, practical and elegant atmosphere. The style remains customizable for each customer. The lower deck features a modular layout with a saloon and various guest cabin configurations: bench seat, two single beds or a double bed. A children's playroom is also available.

A yacht for short-handed sailing with a good rating

As far as sporting performance is concerned, a good handicap makes the YB75 interesting for short-handed racing, with a maximum crew of 6. Liquid ballasts should ensure good stability, and the large sail plan guarantees good performance, even with a reduced crew. The naval architect has considered the major wind patterns in the most popular areas of the Mediterranean to offer a favorable rating.

The YB75 is presented as easy to handle, with push-buttons for the mainsail, self-tacking jib and furling code 0 and gennaker. The YB75 can be supplied with a 120 hp diesel engine running on synthetic fuel, or with an electric motor.

A yacht designed for the Mediterranean

A special feature of this model is that all YBreeze 75s will be delivered to sailing destinations such as Mallorca, Ibiza, Costa Smeralda and Saint-Tropez with a crew member. Owners can share their boat in the area and reserve it via a dedicated app. This feature, included in the price, will enable owners to always find the boat ready before their arrival.

More environmentally-friendly materials

In terms of construction, the shipyard is working to reduce its carbon footprint. It has studied different construction processes, and has chosen to use only the surplus wood and panels used by megayacht outfitters. The yard will use environmentally-friendly products and materials.
