Outboard, inboard and even hybrid engines
The Salpa Avantgarde 1.1 is the new walkaround model of the Salpa shipyard. With its inverted right bow called "Axe-Bow" and its modern lines, it is in line with the open yachts, like those of Invictus, Pardo Yachts or Fjord. This model of 11.20 m long and 3.54 m wide is available in an outboard version, which can receive from 2x250 horsepower to 2x350 horsepower, and in an inboard version 2x270 horsepower. The shipyard also foresees the possibility of integrating a hybrid motorization with a diesel of 350 horsepower completed by an electric motor of 25 kW. It is also possible to opt for an inboard version and to transform it later into a hybrid in a very simple way. The manufacturer indicates that the Avantgarde 1.1 consumes little at cruising speed: 2.9L/mile at 23 knots, or 66L/hour for the outboard version and 30L/hour at 18 knots in diesel.

A cockpit to meet in numbers
The bathing skirts are huge and connected at the front by a small bathing platform. They lead to the cockpit on each side, secured by small gates. This is equipped with a large saloon facing each other with a table that folds out to the side. By lowering the various backrests and lowering the dining table, a very large sunbathing area is created. The rear bench seat covers an imposing trunk that can be opened electrically, which can be transformed into an engine hold in the inboard version.

A fully equipped galley with sink, cutting board, two-burner stove and refrigerator is located just behind the cockpit. The cockpit has a dashboard large enough to accommodate two navigation screens and offers three seats facing the sea. Each seat tilts down to allow standing steering and easy passage around the console, for example when anchored.

Safe movement and relaxation at the bow
The front deck, which is accessed via wide gangways secured by the height of the bulwark and a balcony, has a sunbathing area with a backrest attached to the console and protected by handrails. At the front, the large anchor locker also allows to store the fenders. The shipyard has chosen a davit positioned above the bow to avoid any risk of snagging. The optional hard-top protects the cockpit and complements the front and rear biminis.

Generous interior volumes
Below deck, the Avantgarde 1.1 has generous volumes. The front peak is cleverly arranged, mixing a double bed and a U-shaped bench seat. Simply unfold the back of the bench seat to obtain a real bed for two people. This layout is borrowed from the largest RIB in the range, the Salpa 42. A curtain separates the front cabin from the mid-cabin, and can be replaced by a partition with a door.
At the rear, the headroom is still quite good and it is possible to position a central board with a cushion to obtain a double bed instead of two single beds. We note the padding around the polyester to avoid getting hurt in case of impact.

Finally, a bathroom with sink, toilet and separate shower and several storage spaces complete the set. Typically designed for Mediterranean cruising, it is not planned to install a table or a small kitchenette inside.
